課程大綱 Course syllabus
　　　　　　　　 This course conducts a survey of classical and contemporary approaches in international political economy. It focuses on the politics of substantive international economic issues, such as trade, foreign direct investment, foreign debt and economic adjustment,foreign aid and development, international institutions, and environmental issues.

課程目標 Objectives
　　　　　　　　 1. Define, understand, and use concepts and terms relevant to the study of international political economy.
2. To develop an individual student's professional verbal and written skills for either a professional policy or academic career.
3. To help students develop the skills to conduct independent research.

授課方式 Teaching methods
　　　　　　　　 The course will be a combination of lecturing and seminar. The instructor will first introduce key points and basic theoretical framework for each major topic. In the seminar section, students will lead discussions for assigned articles. Furthermore, the multiple stages of term paper writing are expected to help students develop the skills to conduct independent research and avoiding the delaying problem.
