課程大綱 Course syllabus

本課程將廣泛及深入地以主流的量化理論與批判的質化理論,來探討大眾傳播發生的過程與效果。大眾傳播理論的根源最初是心理學、社會學、政治學所交會的一個十字路口,然後逐漸蔚然成一專門的領域。因此,本課程將以大眾傳播理論的基礎根源與運用做為開始,再逐次進入不同的各別領域,也就是將傳播的過程分為媒介的制度、組織、內容、閱聽人、及效果等層次,來分別加以討論。



課程目標 Objectives

         課程的進行主要在鼓勵同學主動的閱讀、思考與討論,其目的不在要求同學找尋一個正確的標準答案,而是期望思考過程的豐富與多元。本課程期望能在一學期之內,盡量完成對於大眾傳播理論中量化及批判兩大領域的蒐尋及瞭解。並幫助同學在此一過程中,尋找到可以繼續探尋研究的興趣領域。
