1. 統計學(1)基礎內容回顧 Review of Statistics (1)
2. 迴歸分析-最小平方法 Regression Analysis (Method of Least Square)
3. 機率簡介 Basic Concepts of Probability
4. 隨機變數與機率分配 Random Variable and Probability Distribution
5. 抽樣與假設檢定 Sampling and Hypothesis Testing
6. 基本時間序列 Basics of Time Series Models







課程目標 Objectives

         統計學(二)首先對統計學(一)的內容進行回顧, 接著介紹基礎的統計理論與方法包括迴歸分析(最小平方法), 機率之概念, 隨機變數與機率分配, 抽樣與假設檢定等. 最後對時間序列做初步介紹. 課程具有兩大目標:
1. 透過使用財務相關資料, 讓同學熟悉金融數據如股價報酬之統計性質, 尤其將於三次電腦上機實作讓同學接觸不同資產的價格數據, 以對財管系其他課程如投資學, 財務管理, 國際金融與財務計量分析打好基礎
2. 自編講義包含對重要專業術語的加強解釋, 並設計互動式學習活動, 讓同學能適應英文授課的方式, 並(希望)感受到使用英文學習統計之方便與效率.
Statistics (2) will first review the content in Statistics (1), and then cover basic statistical theory and methods including regression analysis (method of least square), the concept of probability, the definition of random variable and probability distribution, sampling and hypothesis testing. It ends with a touch on time series analysis. There are two learning objectives:
1. Students will be familiar with the statistical properties of financial data, such as stock price and return, through three computer workshops in which various data will be given and different statistical tasks be practiced. This will help students acquire the skills needed for other courses in Department of Finance, including Investment, Financial Management, International Finance and Financial Econometrics.
2. Lecture notes are written with a special focus on explaining important terminology; there are also interactive activities in the course design. All of these serve to help students feel confident and comfortable in this EMI course of Statistics (2), and hopefully students can appreciate the convenience and effectiveness of learning statistics in English.
