Ths course is part of a Teaching Practice Research Project PBM1123185. Course record will be further analysis for research purposes This is a demanding course. This course is a fundamental course for 2nd-year business students. It will cover the basic activities of Human Resource Management. Topics include job analysis, personnel planning, recruiting, testing, interviewing, training, performance management, career management, and the development of pay plans, incentives, and welfare. This course is for undergraduate students. It provides the fundamental knowledge and covers key concepts of human resource management (HRM) including staffing, employee development, compensation, labor relations and meeting the international HRM challenge.

這不是涼課 Course Organization This course is structured around a Problem-Based Learning (P.B.L.) approach designed to foster critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and applying Human Resource Management (HRM) concepts practically. Preparation and Participation Students must prepare for class by submitting a concise, one-page summary of the assigned book chapter. This preparation is crucial for informed participation in class discussions. Group Discussions and Case Analysis Students will be organized into groups during class sessions to engage in in-depth discussions of teaching cases. These discussions aim to apply HRM concepts to analyze real-world scenarios, enhancing understanding of theoretical principles through practical application. Term Project A significant component of this course is the term project. Students are expected to conduct interviews with two professionals to explore HRM practices in their respective organizations. This project requires students to apply textbook concepts to real-world situations, demonstrating their ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical insights. Group Coursework and Peer Evaluation The course culminates in a group project, where students collaborate to complete comprehensive coursework. A peer evaluation mechanism is implemented to ensure fair grading, considering each individual's contribution to the group effort. Expectations This course demands a high level of engagement, critical thinking, and practical application of HRM principles. It is designed for students who are committed to actively participating and applying themselves to the challenges of real-world HRM issues. Internship: The required or elective courses should include credits and learning hours. Students should participate in the corporative company or institution to practice and learn the real skills.
