!! This course is intended for doctoral students interested in developing research proposal in the field of organizational Behavior. Be sure to obtain instructor's approval before registering for this course.!! In this course, we will explore three important topics in work psychology from the perspective of research and practice: leadership, teamwork, and work motivation. In terms of leadership, students will learn how to demonstrate effective leadership through discussing and commenting on various leadership theories (trait theory, behavioral theory, contingency leadership, and contemporary leadership theory). In terms of teamwork, we will use the Input-Mediator-Output-Input (IMOI) model to explore the factors that affect team effectiveness. In the work motivation unit, students will learn about various modern motivational theories, and use theoretical models to reflect and analyze ways to motivate themselves and others. In addition to the content of the textbook, in each unit, students will also read important academic literature related to the topic, and use case studies to facilitate the application of the knowledge learned.

This course will utilize a combination of textbook chapters, academic literature reading, lectures, discussions, and case studies to help students learn about work psychology and enhance their ability to apply knowledge learned.

Internship: The required or elective courses should include credits and learning hours. Students should participate in the corporative company or institution to practice and learn the real skills. An internship certification must be handed in at the end of internship to get the credits or to fulfil the graduation requirements.
