課程大綱 Course syllabus

This course is interdisciplinary and will cover the theories and practices of econometrics for finance. We will integrate the knowledge and practices including the models applying cross sectional, time series, and panel data. The Software of Econometric will be introduced as well. Students successfully completing this course will be familiar with the current practices of econometrics and have the capability to conduct empirical research.

課程目標 Objectives

This course will introduce the basic concepts of econometrics for finance. Students will learn to apply the methodology of econometrics to analysis the data they obtained. This course will enable students to analysis the data collected from real world, and made their forecast. Lastly, students will be trained to improve their logic to know if the estimation is reliable and suitable in real world.

It is strongly suggested that students who take this course need to have basic knowledge of Statistics and Calculus.
