近年來，隨著數位化的資訊越來越豐富，資訊過載已經是一個普遍的問題。其中一個解決資訊過載的方式就是使用視覺化的資料呈現。在管理上，視覺化的資料能夠有效的協助決策者快速的理解資料中的內容，做出最為自信的決策。在工程上，視覺化的資料能夠幫助工程師快速理解資料中的缺漏與趨勢，以開發出最為實用的人工智慧系統。視覺化系統就是能夠產生互動式視覺化呈現的平台，以供資料分析與探索使用。
然而，要做出一個功能強大又易用的視覺化系統，必須考量資料的格式，使用者的需求，與視覺化呈現的效果。在本專案課程中，同學要選擇針對一組特定的資料與問題，必要時結合資料探勘與機器學習的技術，開發出一款實用的視覺化系統。最成功的系統要能展現出在特定的應用上，其與眾不同之處與帶來的獨特價值。
