你曾對「雙標」、「躺平」、「舔共」、「玻璃心」、「假新聞」、「同溫層」、「落跑參選」、「誠信破產」、「選人不選黨」、「不是被嚇大的」、「有顏色沒是非」以及許多帶有政治意涵的日常與選舉用語感到好奇嗎？這些都是民主社會中的日常，卻也是瞭解政治與人心的重要切入點。你知道這些概念背後都有學者的研究洞見嗎？人是政治的核心，因此探討民意與政治行為向來是政治學門的重要課題。本選修課程將以研究民眾的價值、偏好、認同與行為作出發點，帶領同學探索並理解個體（選民）層次的政治現象，以及其背後涉及的人心與態度。透過閱讀研究作品並參與時事討論，你將認識如何解釋與解讀民意形成以及群眾行為，透過實做練習，你將更能進一步自己動手分析民情、研判政治趨勢，建立與業界接軌的信心與能力。
本課程不限量化有興趣的同學選修。但是，若你要在見樹之外「見林」，就必須仰仗資料分析的訓練。因此，本課程將訓練同學使用R套件（如dplyr, glm, FactoMineR, sjPlot等），結合民調問卷設計及分析，接軌國際上民意與政治行為研究的趨勢。本課程為本校「政經大數據分析微學程」的中階課程（學程中修滿三門可獲畢業證書上加註認證）。如果你已具備「資料分析方法入門」的基礎，將更能上手本課程的資料分析規畫。若你尚無使用R進行分析的經驗，不必擔心，你亦能在學期前幾週，在老師指導下順利上手。

課程目標 Objectives |
| |
1. 閱讀民意研究的重要文獻與最新文獻，掌握研究的脈絡；
2. 認識民意研究中探索式及驗證式的資料分析方法，設計對學門有貢獻的研究專案（或論文）；
3. 建立資料科學的素養，練就取得民意調查資料並進行自主分析的能力；
4. 認識網路調查平台的運作方式，針對可重複受訪的民眾，進行具有創新的訪問設計，並從中探索出未曾發現過的行為、價值、態度樣貌；
5. 透過學術的視野，掌握、分析並預判2024年大選前的台灣社會民情。
