課程目標 Objectives

This course mainly focuses on important topics in financial management theories, and supplemented with practical discussions on financial decisions. Theoretical aspects include capital structure, capital budget, agency theory, dividend policy, application of real option, corporate control, etc. Strategic aspects include CEO guidelines, fundraising, corporate valuation, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, risk management, employee compensation and other topics. Classes are taught in lectures and seminars. Students are required to give oral presentations in class, working on empirical essays and participate in cyber university discussion. Students should be able to have a systematic view on the directions of corporate financial policies.
本課程主要在進一步討論財務管理理論中的幾個重要課題，並輔以有關財務決策上的實務探討。理論方面包括資本結構、資本預算、代理理論、股利決策、實質選擇權之應用、公司控制(corporate control)等課題，策略方面則包括資金籌措、公司評價、公司重整(corporate restructuring)、公司治理、風險管理、員工報酬等主題。上課係以授課及研討方式進行，學生須在課堂上做口頭報告，並參與網大討論。

以講授為主，報告為輔。學生需在網大上進行討論。
