Survey Research (II) is an advanced course after the Survey Research I, which is the method of gathering data from respondents thought to be representative of some population, using an instrument composed of closed structure or open-ended items (questions). The course will focus on the methodological work on analyzing survey data by various survey designs. Particularly, not only the traditional inferential statistics will be applied to this course, but also the structural equation modeling and hierarchical linear modeling will be the focus in doing social science research.(Pre-Requisite: “Survey I”(D4010012) or equivalent courses from 社科院 or consent of instructor.)

課程目標 Objectives

         After completion of this course, the students are able to:
1) Use descriptive statistics to analyze survey data
2) Use exploratory analytical modeling to analyze survey data
3) Use Confirmatory Factor Analysis to analyze survey data
4) Use Structural Equations for Directly Observed Variables
5) Use Covariance Structure Models to analyze survey data
6) Use Multiple Group Comparison to analyze Panel Data
7) Use Multilevel Covariance Modeling to analyze survey data
8) Use Growth Curve Modeling to analyze Longitudinal Data
9) Writing a research paper after the survey research
