This course seeks to provide an understanding of the knowledge and skills required to manage organizations so that new business opportunities originated from technological innovations can be effectively pursued. Students will be introduced to various disciplines, including technology and industry evolution, corporate strategy, organizational behavior, and entrepreneurship. In addition, the course will examine managerial issues from multiple perspectives, including those of the firm and the entrepreneur.

課程目標 Objectives

         The course focuses on these principal themes:
• What is technological innovation?
• How does technology/Industry evolve?
• What is the strategic value of technology?
• How can innovation be optimized? From the established firms or entrepreneurs’ perspective
• How should firms and their environment be structured in order to maximize the financial value of their technological innovations?
