課程大綱 Course syllabus

Following the instruction and assistance of the instructor, the students have to further refine their manuscript based on "PAPER WRITING IN ENGLISH (I)". The students have to revise the manuscript based on the comments from AOM reviewers and then submit it to journals.
在授課教師的引導與協助下,針對"英文論文寫作(一)"已經完成投稿的研究成果,依審查者意見持續精進,進而投稿至期刊以期獲得revision的機會。


課程目標 Objectives

         After taking this course, the students should be able to learn the core capabilities of our institute, which includes: (1) using scientific method to conduct high quality research; (2) effectively expressing the thoughts/arguments in English; and (3) Critical thinking and problem solving.
學生修習本課程之後,應該習得本所專業能力中的「使用科學方法進行高品質研究」,以及本校核心能力中的「表達與溝通能力」、「探究與批判思考能力」,並分別能夠:
1. 使用科學方法進行高品質研究:熟悉課程所涵蓋的各項寫作方法,能善用相關技巧於論文寫作中。
2. 表達與溝通能力:能透過課堂討論、個人報告及寫作實習等各種形式,將自己的想法與邏輯清楚呈現於他人面前。
3. 探究與批判思考能力:能掌握論文寫作背後的基本思路,並藉由改稿過程養成嚴謹的學術邏輯。

授課方式 Teaching methods

         **Students who want to participate this course should take the "PAPER WRITING IN ENGLISH (I)" first. Since the instructor will use the manuscript developed in PAPER WRITING IN ENGLISH (I) as the course materials. The instructor will share his experience in publishing and reviewing journal articles with the students and try to improve the quality of the manuscripts.
本課程將邀請本所其他老師共同參與,針對"英文論文寫作(一)"已經完成的研究成果持續精進。過程中講師將會分享如何處理reviewer意見的知識與經驗,並透過互動討論的過程,教導修課同學在面對理論、寫作、或是方法的議題時應該如何處理。希望在學期結束時,所有修課同學均能將論文投稿至國際期刊。
**重要:每位修課同學於學期開始前,均須有一篇已經完成全文撰寫並投稿出去的英文稿件 (投至研討會或期刊皆可,必須要有審查者意見與結果),以做為課程的主要素材。不建議使用仍未完成全文的研究計畫做為寫作對象。
**以修習過英文論文寫作(一)的同學優先修課。

評分方式﹝評分標準及比例﹞Evaluation (Criteria and ratio)等第制單科成績對照表 letter grading reference
