課程大綱 Course syllabus

1. Introduction to Information systems research
2. Different research methods in IS research, including case, survey, experiment, system development, meta-research, simulation, and so on.
3. Different research issues in information systems; 4. Organizational aspect of IS research
5. Strategic issues and firm performance; 6. Economics issues in IS
7. Decision support systems research; 8. Internet and E-commerce research
9. Design science and technical research in IS; 10. New research directions in the future

課程目標 Objectives

The objective of this doctoral course is to give students an overview of information systems research. It covers a broad range of topics related to information systems. Students will be able to have a good comprehension of the state-of-the-art research issues.

授課方式 Teaching methods

Each student is expected to read the assigned articles before the class. Each paper will be assigned a presenter and a discussant. The presenter provides an overview of the paper. The discussant criticizes it.

評分方式﹝評分標準及比例﹞Evaluation (Criteria and ratio)等第制單科成績對照表 letter grading reference
