課程大綱 Course syllabus

六○年代以來，婦女運動與女性主義思潮在歐美國家蔚為風潮。性別(gender)不僅成為婦女／性別研究的核心課題，同時也是對相關人文、社會科學研究的發展產生一定程度的挑戰。社會學就是相當受到女性主義思潮影響的主流學門之一。從台灣的角度來看，自呂秀蓮揭櫫「新女性主義」，加上九○年代以來蓬勃發展的婦女運動，性別作為一政治性的社會範疇(category)也日漸成為國內學術研究的重要課題。回顧過去三十多年來，女性主義社群在性別議題的研究，其議題包括性別與婚姻、家庭、工作、教育、社會福利體、政治與社會參與、性、生殖與身體等多項涉及公／私領域的議題。而這些都是主流社會學研究的重要課題。為讓同學們能掌握性別研究的主旨，本課程將何謂性別理論出發，再選取性別與工作、性與身體政治、性／別公民權等主題來探討性別和人們日常生活的密切關係。

課程目標 Objectives

本課程希望學生能從不同面向和角度，對性別議題與現象產生理解與批判的能力，以提昇學生瞭解不同社會結構下的性別關係、性別配置與性別政治。並藉由課堂討論，進行對性別相關議題的討論，培養學生解讀與重構進而批判諸多與性別有關的社會爭議或衝突的事件。期待學生能從修課過程中，獲取對性別之多元面向之認識，與充實其批判思考的能力。最終，並能將性別相關知識化做實踐的力量，在日常生活中做性別（doing gender），讓因性別而起的社會衝突降低，性別差異的多元文化被尊重與珍惜。

授課方式 Teaching methods

本課程著重師生間的的充分互動。授課教師會於學期開始充份說明各堂課的設計要旨，以引導同學在這樣的脈絡下閱讀指定教材。同時，為培養同學們反思日常生活中的性別權力關係的能力，本課程在教材的選取上將以本土性別研究以及本土婦運書寫為主，並搭配相關紀錄片或影片的播放。教學上著重於培養學生的思辯能力，因此，課程進行方式除了教師講授之外，也將側重於以個人經驗與觀察為主的分組討論。目的在於一方面讓同學了解性／別體系如何具現在我們每個人的日常生活，另一方面也希望進一步探討將來我們如何改變這樣的性／別壓迫。
