|
This seminar will examine major statements on and about feminism, with special attentions given to the work of Carole Pateman. To this end, students are required to read the four books by Carole Pateman from 1970 to the 1980s, including Pateman’s reflections upon her own work that were published in 2011T.

授課方式 Teaching methods |
|
Each student will be required to: 1.Participate actively in class (attendance, discussions or group works...). For all the lectures as well as the oral presentation sessions, we highly expect a full participation of the class, which means that classmates are welcomed to raise questions or to make comments after each lecture/presentation. 2. The written proposal should include at least 3 parts: 1) provisional topic and brief introduction, 2) research plan explaining the chosen research method and the way to proceed, and 3) references (min. 2 academic research papers). 3.Turn the above-mentioned proposal into a term paper according to an academically accepted set of reference and citation rules. The paper can be an independent research or your reflections upon one of the lectures.
