本課程教學大綱已提供完整英文資訊(本選項僅供統計使用,未提供完整英文資訊者,得免勾記)【Provide information of course syllabus in English.(This is for statistical use only. For those who do not provide information of course syllabus in English, do not check this field.)】

Simulation is one of the key techniques to analyze the complex problems systematically, and it is also an important tool to integrate the business operations and the information systems. Performing experiments is an important way to study the systems, especially, the complex systems. System simulation is a technique to perform the experiments for an existed system without interrupting or a proposed system before implementing by computer models. The key factors to make the simulation project solving the problems successfully, the simulation analyst not only need to be properly trained of using the tools, but also have to analyze experimental results appropriately.

Objectives

In this course, the procedures for executing the simulation project are introduced, the concepts of transforming problem faced into suitable simulation model are instructed, and the schemes of analyzing the numerical results and animated phonemes are discussed. In particular, output analysis and variance reduction technique will be demonstrated to help the students to make the experiments more efficiently and to explore the facts based upon statistics.

Teaching methods

Introduction to Major Theories
