This course is designed to introduce the development trends in medical and health care industry.
Since the establishment of the National Health Insurance program in Taiwan in 1995, the barriers to access to healthcare have decreased. In this environment, the increasingly fierce competition among hospitals has led to a rise in their operating risks, especially for medium and small-sized hospitals. To sustain and operate with limited resources, hospitals need to reduce their operational costs and enhance their management performance. The main focus of hospital management is on the financial management, human resource management, and medical quality management.

課程目標 Objectives

1.To familiar with industry-related and professional English
2.To cultivate the reporting capabilities
3.To familiar with the health care system operation in Taiwan
4.To cultivate the adequate thinking process in hospital management

授課方式 Teaching methods

1.Through structural and systemic methods, students are guided to familiarize with the industry-related system and management. In the meantime, students will be guided to try making the PPT and reading literature through the practice and interactive discussion in the classroom. We also hope to cultivate the ability of student's oral reports.
