課程大綱 Course syllabus |
|
This course aims to explore and examine up-to-date, stimulating topics through English reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Through class exercises and discussions, group work, and hands-on exercises, students will be provided with more opportunities to share viewpoints and communicate in English.

課程目標 Objectives |
|
Upon completing this course, students are expected to achieve the following goals: 1. Can understand standard spoken language on both familiar and unfamiliar topics normally encountered in personal, social, academic or vocational life. 2. Can express his/her ideas in more extended speaking to improve accuracy and fluency. Can present and respond to complex lines of argument. 3. Understand news or academic articles, infer the writer’s intention, and compare viewpoints. 4. Write a coherent essay to express their viewpoints following established conventions of the genre concerned.
