課程大綱 Course syllabus

         這不是涼課
本課程為企管系大一的基礎必修課程,主要將介紹在組織中的管理者到底是誰,在作什麼事情,以及影響他們決策與行為相關的理論。
課程將從「誰是管理者」的議題開始,延伸至管理者的四大類別活動:規劃、組織、領導、控制,並討論在影響這些活動背後相關的理論,包括決策、溝通、激勵與倫理分析等。
This course is a fundamental course for the first year business students. It will focus on who the managers are, what they do, and relevant theories and/or concepts behind their decision-making and behaviors, such as planning, organizing, leading, controlling, etc.









課程目標 Objectives

         修習完本課程後,學生預計可以強化以下的知識與能力
1. 瞭解管理學基本知識
2. 培養發言勇氣
3. 訓練邏輯思考與表達能力
4. 學習從對話和觀察中進行學習
5. 學習跟很好的人或很雷的人共事

After finishing this course, students are expected to enhance the following abilities:
1) understand who the managers are, what they are doing, and why they behave in certain ways,
2) establish the ability of theoretical awareness and analytical ability,
3) develop the ability of leading. communicating, and teamwork.









授課方式 Teaching methods

         本課程採影片輔助教學,每週會以一集「誰是接班人」作為輔助教材
每週學生課前需進行預習繳交作業
本課程強調學生的參與和發言,學生需透過課堂發言或課後討論區發言賺取點數
課綱之配分比重僅供參考,實際配分比重於首堂課程討論後決定。
以下特性學生,選修前請三思,無誠勿試
a. 找最輕鬆,不用上課、作業不交或亂做,當作「營養學分」修課
b. 人多事忙,無法與其他成員共同進行團體活動
c. 不願意找資料,發展自己觀點,藉以完成作業與報告者,特別是只會上網剪貼資料湊成報告者。
d. 不知道怎麼自己看課本建立自己的觀念架構,需要別人幫忙化重點才能「學習」的學生。
e. 相信世界只有一種標準答案的人
2.本課程以課堂講授為主,輔以影片教學的作法
3. 修課學生必須先進行課本內容的預習,並必須能夠每週繳交預習的作業。缺交時分數將採取累進式扣分。
4. 學生應就各種形式(影片或是紙本)呈現的個案,進行課堂討論。學生必須願意勇敢地公開表達自己的意見,以及挑戰同儕與老師的觀點。如果無法或不願意在課堂中或於網大表達自己的意見,會拿不到課堂討論貢獻的分數。顧及修課人數,課堂討論將會採取點數制,並於期末以「標準化常模」方式進行評分。
5. 學生必須被分成小組,訪談若干有管理經驗者,並選擇一跟管理學相關的主題進行口頭與書面形式的小組報告。
6. 期末考試原則上以小組形式進行,其考試模式將於首週進行討論後決定。
7. 由於小組活動扮演相當重要的角色,所有的小組部分得分,將會經過小組互評進行調整。
8. 以下評分標準目前僅供參考,實際評分方式將於首週課程進行時進行討論。
9. 本課程不會進行任何的調分動作。根據過往紀錄,平均當人率為3%-12%。
1. This is a demanding course. Students who are looking for sweet grade or easy pass are not welcome.
2. This course is lecture-based, and videos will be used as teaching materials in the class.
3. Students have to preview the textbook chapter and submit weekly assignment EVERY WEEK.
4. Students have to participate in discuss in the classroom and/or discussion board on the e-learning system. Contribution to class is an integral part of grading system.
5. Students will be divided into groups for carrying out activities. To complete group coursework, students have to interview people with managerial experiences, find a general management related theme, and present their report in oral and written forms. The final exam is also conducted in group.
6. All group performance will be adjusted by peer review.
7. The following evaluation standard is FOR REFERENCE ONLY, and will be adjusted subject to class discussion in the first session.
8. It is impossible to adjust your grade in the end of semester. According to past record, 3% to 12% of students failed in this course.
