課程目標 Objectives

         Business law is sometimes called mercantile law or commercial law and refers to the laws that govern the dealings between people and commercial matters. There are two distinct areas of business law; regulation of commercial entities through laws of partnership, company, bankruptcy, and agency and the second is regulation of the commercial transactions through the laws of contract. This class focuses on the former area, especially for the corporate law.







授課方式 Teaching methods

         Students in this class would be expected to follow the classroom rules as follow:
1. Final Scores choices:
We have two types of calculation for the final scores.
First type: 30% for participation, 30% for self-Reflection and 40% for personal final report.
Second Type: 40% for participation, 40% for self-reflection and 20% for personal final report.
Each one of the students can choose one type of calculation for your own final scores.
2. Class Participation
All Students are expected to "actively" answer or ask questions in the classroom for the subjects. My TA will count whether each one of you answers or asks questions for every week. If you do not ask or answer any questions in the class, you won't get scores of participation even you attend the class. Group discussion does not count as "asking or answering questions." Finally, I reserve my right to decide whether your answers or questions are relevant to this class.
If you meet the requirements, each week can get 1 point for the class participation.
3. Self-Reflection
All students have to submit your reflection of the your learning progress of this class. The progress includes: the expectation prior to this class, the obstacles during the class and the lessons from the this class. There is no word limitation for self-reflection and you have to highlight which type of the calculation for your final scores in the self-reflection.
4.Personal Final Report
Each one of the students have to write an essay with 12 font, 1.5 space, normal margin and 4000 word limitations. The essay should cover at least one of the subjects--IP law, antitrust law or corporate law. You can do any any types of the analysis for your essay, either case study or theoretical analysis or others. The TA will assign you a number for your essay and you all have to use that number for identification. DO NOT REVEAL YOUR NAME IN YOUR ESSAY.
Final Reminder: PLEASE DO NOT PLAGIARISM. If you have plagiarism in your essay, you will get D.
