課程目標 Objectives

         社群媒體的出現使得一般使用者得以自行產生資料(UGC),而它的風行也使UGC的資料量呈指數成長,並具有高度的價值,透過對於這些資料之擷取、審視和妥為分析,可以對於社會現象、政策效益和商業運作有即時的了解並作出正確的決策。UGC的資料類型主要分成兩類: 文字資料和網絡資料,本課程將介紹這兩類資料的分析。透過本課程,學生將可以
1. 了解UGC資料分析可以達成何種效益
2. 學會如何使用資訊工具來擷取和處理UGC
3. 學會如何分析UGC
4. 學會應用UGC分析技術於商業、政治和社會領域
The emergence of Social Media allows for the generation of huge amount of user generated content (UGC). Through the extraction, investigation, and analysis, UGC may generate values for making policies in both public and private sectors. There are two types of UGC data, namely text data and networked data. This course will cover the processing and analysis of both types of data. Through this course, students will be able to
1. understand the values that UGC may bring to users/organizations,
2. use information techniques to extract and process UGC,
3. analyze UGC, and
4. apply the UGC analytics techniques to domains in business, politics, and society.
