This series of methodology course aims to introduce students to the research methods which can be used in business research and organizational life. Research Methodology entails issues in introduction to the scientific methods, hypothesis development and testing, research design, measurement, scale development, sampling, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of research work, etc.
課程目標 Objectives
Upon the completion of the course, students are able to: 1. conduct business research 2. develop a research proposal 3. know various research designs available for business research 4. select the appropriate research design for their proposed study 5. understand good characteristics of a research
授課方式 Teaching methods
1. Lectures are guided by tutorials and group discussion. 2. Students are required to present on a particular issue or journal articles (group-based approach). 3. The outlines of individual term paper presentation will be carried out on a particular issue in line with term paper topic. 4. At the end of this course, individual term paper will be submitted to the instructor. Students should read all the assigned book chapters and/or papers to a particular week prior to class. When in class, students should be ready to share insights, ask questions and discuss issues from the assigned readings.
