本課程教學大綱已提供完整英文資訊(本選項僅供統計使用,未提供完整英文資訊者,得免勾記)【Provide information of course syllabus in English.(This is for statistical use only. For those who do not provide information of course syllabus in English, do not check this field.)】
From 2020/04/09 we will move the class online and use the Zoom system. This requires students to log in (you will need a computer and internet connection) and watch the class online. The system allows you to participate in discussions during the class (using a microphone and camera on/or attached to your computer). As the number of coronavirus infections continues to rise, I feel that it may be in everyone’s best interests (and a sensible preventative measure) to not sit together in a room for 3 hours each week. Sorry for any inconvenience - I know it is not ideal, but my goal is to protect everyone from any unnecessary risks. ******************************************************************************************* **Suitable for all levels** Bachelor, Masters and Exchange Students are all welcome! If English is not your native language, do not worry. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This course examines how people think, feel and behave at work. This course will help students develop detailed knowledge of a range of topic areas relating to Work Psychology. In addition to there being a strong integration of recent research evidence and theory in the unit, students will be encouraged to reflect on how this knowledge may be applied by managers within organizations. Throughout the course, students will develop skills in interpreting work-related problems and issues analyzing how organizations and employees can benefit from understanding some of the core principles of work psychology. The assessment will encourage students to discuss the application of Work Psychology theory and research evidence to the workplace. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Course Instructor: Dr. David McConville. David has a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology, from the UK. He has been living in Taiwan for approximately three years, and is currently a tenure track Assistant Professor in the Institute of HRM at NSYSU. David's work has been published in applied psychology, HRM and management SSCI journals, including the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology and the International Journal of Human Resource Management.
