因應嚴重特殊傳染性肺炎(武漢肺炎)，倘若後續需實施遠距授課，授課方式調整如下：

非同步遠距【課堂錄影或錄製數位教材放置網路供學生可非同時進行線上學習，得採EverCam、PPT簡報錄影、錄音方式進行】

課程大綱 Course syllabus

本課程的主軸有三：「多元文化」、「溝通能力」、以及「全球視野」。
- 「多元文化」方面，透過共同教材搭配真實新聞報導，例如全球各地的生活型態報導、跨國婚姻、足球運動在不同國家的型態等等，培養學生對異文化的興趣，並連結到自身的本土文化。
- 在「溝通能力」方面，透過英文學習，加強聽說讀寫技能。學生必須能夠閱讀特定議題之中篇文章，聽懂中篇對話和演講，並可以運用基礎寫作策略來書寫一段文意連貫的段落，且能針對已經理解的書寫或口語內容作相關之口頭回應，進而參與群組討論。
- 「全球視野」方面，著重在全球議題的多元角度。利用共同教材內容搭配時事新聞，例如生活科技造成地球環境的改變、宗教組織與公平正義的爭議等等，讓學生將自身置於全球社群中，從不同的角度理解同一個議題，了解當代的全球化現象及衍生的矛盾與利弊，進而省思自身的公民責任。

課程目標 Objectives

本課程以多元文化主題為核心，讓學生藉由英語文學習來認識和理解多元文化。設計脈絡化課程，並搭配與全球化議題相關的內容，以提供學生多元文化交流與溝通的學習情境。讓學生在運用英文口說和寫作表達能力的同時，也能培養對多元社會的興趣和探討能力，進而產生對異文化的包容力，拓展學生國際視野，因而具備成為世界公民的能力。
