課程大綱 Course syllabus

The course is designed not only to introduce students with key strategy concepts but also aims to help students to integrate and apply their learning to various business situations. The key strategic business decisions of concern in this course involve choosing competitive strategies, creating competitive advantages, taking advantage of external opportunities, securing and defending sustainable market positions, and allocating critical resources over long periods.
The course offers intensive sessions in October by inviting international scholar, Dr. Pavel. The course could end one month earlier than other regular courses.
7th Oct. ~ 15th Oct. (18 Hours)

課程目標 Objectives

         The objectives of this course are to develop:
1. understanding of the key concepts and principles of strategy formulation and competitive analysis,
2. useful analytical skills, tools and techniques for analyzing a company strategically,
3. understanding the important role that the HRM plays in the setting and implementation of strategy,
4. the ability to think critically and strategically,
5. oral and written presentation skills through the analysis and reporting of case situations.

授課方式 Teaching methods

         Teaching and Learning Methodology
• Lectures illustrated on the PowerPoint to develop a clear understanding of the relevant concepts.
• Group project and individual assignments to reinforce learning of key concepts.
• Case studies that help students understand actual events and policies.
• Relevant videos will be shown in class.
