課程大綱 Course syllabus

本課程為企業管理學系的選修課程,主要將探討跟創新相關各項議題。
本課程為進階課程,修習學生必須先具備基本的管理與經濟相關知識,建議學生在修習本課前,已經修習過經濟學、企業概論、管理學、行銷管理等課程,並知道策略管理的基本概念。
本堂課不歡迎「洗學分」的學生,修課學生必須投入到團體活動中,共同完成任務。根據過去記錄,本門課每學期有5-10%的同學不及格,選修者請三思。
在團體活動部分中,本課堂有小組互評機制,團體分數將依據小組互評進行調整。
本課堂將使用到大量的英文個案,害怕閱讀英文者請勿選修。
This is a selective course in the Department of Business Management. This course aims to discuss issues related to innovation as social phenomenon.
This course is at advanced level. Hence, students are recommended completing economics, management and marketing management BEFORE studying for this course.
Students looking for ‘easy As’ are not welcomed in this course. Students will be separated into groups for coursework. All the marks of group assignments will be adjusted based on peer review. Free-riders are not welcomed.
Around 5% to 10% of students failed in previous semester. Please think twice before registering this course.
English cases will be used in the class.





課程目標 Objectives

         修畢本課程後,學生應達成以下目標
1. 透過理論學習與討論,瞭解創新的本質,以及從企業、社會或是其他的角度,去思考創新的意義,以及該如何面對創新。
2. 透過小組活動,瞭解個人如何在團隊中生活。
3. 透過報告活動以及課堂討論,建立以不同形式溝通表達的能力,並養成批判性思考的能力。
After finishing this course. Students are expected to
1) be able to understand the essence of innovation, and explore the meaning of innovation from the perspective of individuals, firms, and society;
2) enhance teamwork ability through group assignments.
3) understand how to communicate via different means, and develop critical thinking ability by participate in class discussion and coursework.


授課方式 Teaching methods

         本課程採用經驗學習與互動學習的設計,並使用個案教學。學生組成學習小組,於課前討論與準備個案。
學生將被分成小組,共同進行各項課堂活動。
在課程的第三至第七週,學生將一同閱讀指定讀物「平台革命」,作為討論個案前的前置準備,在此階段各小組將輪流上台報告負責的章節。
自第八週起,將進入個案討論階段,每週討論一個案例。
另,為尊重版權,所有個案必須依據修課人數支付授權費用,預計整學期的個案費用在NT$1000-NT$1500左右,請學生考量自己的經濟狀況。
另,由於選擇的個案將以哈佛個案為主,該個案以英文呈現,故建議學生將自己對於英文的接受程度列入選課考量。
因此,選修本課程之學生必須要進行以下活動
1. 原則上每週有一份個人作業。
2. 學生原則上將分成小組,共同完成各週作業、小組口頭與書面報告,並進行小組考試。
3. 學生必須要能在課堂上,或是於課後在網大討論區中,參與討論。
4. 學生必須要以小組為單位,選定一企業相關議題,進行討論與分析。
後面所附的評分標準,目前僅為參考基礎,實際之評分標準將於第一堂課時,由全班表決並加以修正。
本堂課的作業評量將嚴格執行原創性與學術倫理的要求,如果作業有抄襲行為,除直接將該作業給予零分外,並將給予額外扣分,情節嚴重者將送校方依校規處置。
本堂課亦要求學生有自我學習能力,課堂當中,不會針對裡面理論作逐一細部「介紹」,課本是給學生自己念的,不是讓老師講給學生聽的。
The pedagogical design of this course is based on experiential and interactive learning. Case teaching will be implemented in this course. Students will b separated into study group for the sake of discussion and final course work.
From week 3 to week 7, students have to read ‘platform revolution’ and make a short group presentation on designated chapters. From week 8, ONE case study will be used in every session.
All the case studies used in this course require license fee. The total expenditure, including case studies and reference book, is about NT$500-600
