課程大綱 Course syllabus

This course focuses on how to use UI design and evaluation techniques to develop accessible interactive technologies and successful information systems. Students will develop an overall understanding of the system design principles and cognitive issues that influence user experience (UX).
Topics include:
- UI design and evaluation process
- UX principles and guidelines
- Design, Prototyping and Construction
- Mobile UI Design
- Usability testing
The homework and final team project involve prototyping, evaluation, redesign, and implementation of a real-world system. Through these practices, the students will be able to creatively practice the knowledge they learned and apply the theories to the practical applications.

課程目標 Objectives

         We expect students to develop an understanding of:
- principles of evaluating UI and techniques for prototyping UI
- guidelines for examining UX and techniques for improving UX
At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to:
- identify users' needs and requirements
- evaluate the designs among various kinds of devices (computers vs. handhelds)
- apply techniques to evaluate, improve and enhance overall UX
