課程目標 Objectives

         This course builds on the students’ own professional experiences, linking them to relevant case studies. It requires students to reflect on relationships between business people in a global context. What, for instance, motivates people to work abroad? How do they make sense of what they do? How do companies manage employees across cultures?
The course also aims to endow students with the creative skills that will make their career more fulfilling. It promotes curiosity and open-mindedness in increasingly complex environments. At the end of this course, students should become stronger speakers, writers, and negotiators across cultures.

授課方式 Teaching methods

         The course will combine short lectures based on real-life case studies, Taiwanese and international news, documentaries, group activities and presentations, as well as two seminars led by Heidi Chang on 5/10 and 5/17 (details at http://www.hm.isu.edu.tw/upload/hm/15/teacher_17.htm).
