課程大綱 Course syllabus

本課程教學大綱已提供完整英文資訊(本選項僅供統計使用,未提供完整英文資訊者,得免勾記)【Provide information of course syllabus in English.(This is for statistical use only. For those who do not provide information of course syllabus in English, do not check this field.)】

This course is an introduction to human-robot interaction (HRI). A variety of HRI-related research and applications will be introduced.
The course includes a fair amount of readings and features several assignments and projects, which focus on specific important skills such as paper analysis/presentation and peer reviewing. In addition to reading, another goal of this course is to get immersed into the world of the human-robot systems (HRS). We will use VIPLE (Visual IoT/Robotic Programming Environment) along with Lego Mindstorms EV3 as the programming tool and robotic platform for implementing robotic systems. The students in this class will learn about many aspects of HRS, get familiar with key HRS technologies, and study many examples of modern HRS. Students will work individually for the in-class assignments as well as in group to develop their own HRS for the larger final project.

課程目標 Objectives

         We expect every student:
• Build a connection between human factors and robotic system designs
• Develop strong knowledge and skills on human interaction with intelligent robots
• Gain experience in the design and evaluation of human-robot systems
